The Alaska House passes a bill that would capture more revenue from companies that sell to Alaskans over the internet.

Bering Strait communities are urging passage of a bill that would prohibit states from banning ivory that’s in authentic Alaska Native art and handicrafts.

Gov. Mike Dunleavy continues to oppose the bill, a spokesperson said. The bill passed the House 22-17, well short of a veto-proof majority, and now heads to the Senate.
